I really loved the game. It’s a great tower defence game and there’s not many like it. BUT I had to get a refund because it was crashing it was literally crashing every time I played it. It’s a shame but I hope it gets fixed in the future so I can get it again.. Overall, like and recommend.The game is still early access - I ran into a couple of bugs which stopped me finishing a mission on 2 occasions (out of 20 missions, that's not too bad, and yes, it is early access - these things are to be expected.)It's surprisingly polished for an indie game, graphics are decent, gameplay is balanced and missions have a fair bit of variety. The later missions are better than the earlier ones (the final mission in particular was great), I do wish there was a little more variety on towers; the game gives you all the tech tree pretty early on.In terms of balance, I do feel parts of the game were too easy - once you get into the swing of things, you'll only lose if you really screw up; I'm also not really sure if there is that much variety between the towers - they all seem to do a decent job, and the diverse mix of enemies in each level doesn't really lend to specialising on certain towers for certain circumstances.That all said, if the dev releases DLC or a sequel, I'll buy it.. I really enjoyed this game. It feels like a cellphone game where you just click your little units and tell them what to defend. I guess that's "tower defense". I lost many times and would play a map every night after work. There are 20 maps total.Some very small bugs but nothing major.Good game.. This one is a special kind of Tower Defense. It has some very innovative features for you in store. To me it's like a very nice cocktail of 3 great games: O Defense Grid (well, it's obviously a TD)O Planetbase (just look at the scenario) O They are Billions (Zombie Shooting, yeah!!)The 4 points, which attracted me most, were graphic, scenario, genre and the similarity to “They Are Billions!!!”. The combination of these 4 features are like a unique selling point even at steam. Well, to me at least. One of the innovations for the TD Genre is, that you have to send your (armed) astronauts to the defense towers and other buildings to do their job. I like that a lot. Did it happen to you in “They Are Billions?!”, that your troops are in one corner of your colony and a wave of zombies comes from another direction, where your unmanned towers guard your borders? If you like these kinds of challenge, then I hope you enjoy it. The replay value of MarZ Rising seems also to be quite good, at least when it’s done: They offer 3 difficulties for the 20 Mission campaign (already complete), which is well done with story and research and everything, and will add a skirmish mode and a level editor(!). Great!Yo, take a look at the updates, if you wish to know more about this gem.. 3/5I wouldn't go into details. Much good has been covered - good gameplay, graphics etc. Its like Planetbase but with BIG guns.The negative for me - once you play higher difficulty (challenge and ?hard, i forgot), the difficulty is made in such a way that it is rather memorization rather than tactics. E.g: by this time must build X then Y at this exact moment..... much like They are Billions. But I'm still not uninstalling this :). If you're on the fence about picking this one up, as I was, I strongly encourage you to try it. On the surface it lacks spectacle, but there's a lot of depth to the game that will keep you thinking, planning and coming back to try new strategies. I don't believe there is any one perfect combination of tactics that will work across every map. You'll need to play smart, consider the strengths and weaknesses of each wave, and constantly adapt to changing conditions like new enemy types and in some cases changing environments. You have a limited number of crew to man your defense towers and to mine for resources. So, you'll need to weigh the pros a cons of upgrading a tower or sending for reinforcements or buying that super weapon you've had your eyes on. Admittedly, the game crashes a fair bit which will cause you to lose some progress. The maps aren't very long, so you may lose minutes of progress, not hours. It's a detractor for sure, but not a deal breaker for me.. I played the demo and instantly bought it. An excellent RTS/Tower Defence hybrid with a unique setting and story!. It is a fun game, but the sound keeps glitching and i can"t seem to get 60fps no matter what graphics settings or resolution I use. I love how unforgiving and how difficult the game can be. It makes you have to come up with a new strategy every mission. I recommend it, but i dhope they fix the sound. It makes the campaign pointless because you cant understand any of the characters.. Here are my thoughts after finishing the 20 levels in a little less than 15 hours in default difficulty ("challenge").I saw the post on imgur - https://imgur.com/gallery/KqJSxqi - thus tried the demo, and immediately bought the game.I really enjoyed the game!It was fun, original and challenging.Price was very attractive too. It's going to bump to 25 it seems but that's still worth it regarding the time it took to finish the campaign and the fun i had!Progression, visuals, animations, action, story... it's great !Building upgrade animations are excellent.
